Job Description
Administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Consults with radiation oncologists and other clinical staff as needed.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program and registry eligible with ARRT. Certification: After ARRT certification is obtained, licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) is required.
