Job Description
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at MUSC, you will utilize advanced imaging technology to capture detailed pictures of the body's internal structures and functions, providing information beyond just structural appearance. Our technologists are responsible for preparing, handling, and administering radiopharmaceuticals at inpatient and outpatient locations. From Mobile to PET to SPECT, MUSC Nuclear Medicine continues to change what is possible in South Carolina.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program required.
Experience: 0-2 years of Nuclear Medicine/PET experience required, 1 year preferred.
Required Registration/Certification:
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
- Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from the NMTCB or Registered Technologist (RT (N)) from ARRT OR registry eligible with a B.S. or B.A. preferred. If registry eligible, must obtain certification within 12 months.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
