Job Description Summary
The Telepathology Information Specialist I reports to the Anatomic Pathology Manager. This position digitizes images of human tissue from microscopic slides in support of diagnostic evaluations by anatomic pathologists. Additionally, the Telepathology Information Specialist supports departmental internal and external consultative services for continuum of patient care, legal requests, and specimen preservation requests. The Telepathology Information Specialist I responds to requests for specimens, tissue blocks, slides, and maintains a detailed tracking system of all pathology materials and records.Entity
