Dental Assistants are responsible for providing the patient with high quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care duties. This entails helping the dentist handle patients, instruments, and supplies during the treatment of the teeth, mouth, and gums. Dental Assistants also document patient care, take x-rays, assist during operative procedures both in clinic and operating rooms, as well as work as OR circulator, scrub tech and sterile processing of used devices and equipment.
Additional Job Description
A high school diploma, completion of an ADA accredited dental assisting course and 3 years of dental assisting experience OR a high school diploma and 5 years dental assisting experience.
