Job Description Summary
The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer I reports to the Perioperative Interventional Cardiology and Imaging Manager. Under direct supervision, the Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer I provides high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist in a professional manner that is consistent with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. This role requires efficient performance of clinical Pediatric Echo operations in the hospital and procedural setting, including entering full preliminary reports. The majority of the Sono I training will be at SJCH with a 1:1 clinical preceptor and with limited clinical site(s) coverage. This role organizes and prioritizes patient exams and contributes to unit teamwork. Applicants will remain in the Sono I role until able to pass the comprehensive pediatric board exam (usually 12-18 months post-hire).Entity
