Job Description

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join the Pediatric Psychology team within the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, located at a major academic medical center that serves a diverse and medically complex pediatric population across a broad geographic region. The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join the Pediatric Psychology team within the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, located at a major academic medical center that serves a diverse and medically complex pediatric population across a broad geographic region. Position Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents with a wide range of neurological, medical, and developmental conditions.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the neuropsychological assessment of children with sickle cell disease and cancer/brain tumor histories including those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and/or bone marrow transplantation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including oncology, neurology, hematology, and other pediatric subspecialties, to support integrated care.
  • Join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team of seven licensed psychologists working alongside developmental-behavioral pediatricians, social workers, nurse practitioners, and other dedicated professionals.
  • Participate in the supervision and training of psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and other learners within the division. Contribute to the APA-accredited Charleston Consortium Psychology Internship Program (Program Info).

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or school psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship and a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology.
  • Experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations with children with complex medical or neurological conditions.
  • Eligible for licensure as a psychologist in South Carolina.
