Job Description
- Homebound paperwork
- Liaison with school when patient diagnosed
- Provide education to teachers regarding patient medical needs
- Coordinate neuropsychological testing
- Assist with advocacy for IEP and 504 plans
- Coordinate transition back to school when patient completes treatment/medically able to attend
- Documentation from medical providers for school staff
- Information for school staff to help develop classroom presentations
- Instructional services
- Adaptive physical education as recommended by the patient’s medical team
- Assistive technology to help patients benefit from instruction
- Support services such as school-based speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and services for visually impaired students
- Tutoring to help patient get or stay up to speed
