Job Description
Join a team that’s Changing What’s Possible – The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) under MUSC Community Physicians seeks a General Surgical Pathologist in one of our coastal regions outside of Charleston, SC.
We are seeking:
- MD or equivalent degree with pathology specialty training and certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Eligible or currently possess medical licensure in South Carolina.
- Experience in fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues, clinicians and researchers as well as serving as a resource to technologists at the bench.
- Excellent communication skills, work ethic, and team player approach to patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Sign out of surgical pathology cases, including thoracic, gastrointestinal, general surgical pathology, non-gyn cytopathology, rapid onsite evaluation (ROSE), frozen section and intraoperative consultation and breast oncologic pathology.
- Involvement in tumor boards.
- Shared on-call coverage
