Job Description Summary

The Senior Project/Production Manager joins the MUSC Enterprise Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) to manage new project intake and facilitate cross-functional collaboration amongst project stakeholders. This role supports project management activities for the OCM team including video, photography, and graphics production, video pre-production, creative brief development, and assists with other project-related tasks. The Senior Project/Production Manager develops and executes dashboard analytics to assess project performance, manage resources, evaluate processes and technologies for continuous improvement, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Job Description

The Senior Project/Production Manager joins the MUSC Enterprise Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) to manage new project intake and facilitate cross-functional collaboration amongst project stakeholders. This role is an on-site position supporting project management activities for the OCM team including video, photography, and graphics production, video pre-production, creative brief development, and assists with other project-related tasks. The Senior Project/Production Manager develops and executes dashboard analytics to assess project performance, manage resources, evaluate processes and technologies for continuous improvement, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Customers include MUSC Health, Research, Academic, and Enterprise divisions.

Project Intake & Management (40%)

  • Schedule & lead scoping meetings with project requester(s) and stakeholders to confirm/clarify project details
  • Advise requesters on alternative options that may be of interest
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, cross-functional OCM collaboration, and dialogue with Enterprise stakeholders
  • Create a standard format for all projects tracked in the OCM project management platform
  • Document all project request details in the OCM project management platform
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to assess the ability for OCM to support the project request & timeline
  • Collate and distribute project information and documentation to OCM stakeholders to inform and enable them to perform their respective functions and deliver the project output in-line with the timeline and milestones
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external constituents, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with requesters and stakeholders
  • Maintain project timeline and milestones with details of completion and/or delays, and provide timely updates and communicate any changes to the requester, the project team, and leadership

Project Resource Management (30%)

  • Track resources and their assignments in the OCM project management platform
  • Develop reporting/analytics to assess the OCM team’s ability to intake additional projects, deliver on new special requests, and to evaluate the bandwidth of OCM team members for project assignment. Dashboard examples include resource capacity, utilization, assignments/allocation, productivity, and contractor needs/opportunities

Project Performance Management (30%)

  • Clearly understand how projects are performing to plan
  • Develop and execute KPIs and dashboards to report project and service delivery performance. Examples include delivery performance/burn-down, past-due projects, risks, issues, needs, and escalations
  • Support development of, and adherence to, Service Level Agreements to shape OCM’s service delivery model, including expected turn-around time for services/responses
  • Evaluate OCM service delivery processes and supporting technologies for continuous improvement

Systems / Applications

Experience with Monday.com preferred

Experience with ServiceNow preferred

Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) required

Preferred Degree, Experience & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing / Communications, Operations Management, or a related field)

6+ years work experience in operations, and/or marketing and communications required.

Working knowledge of the video pre-production process; able to recommend creative direction, develop creative briefs, and assist with planning & logistics

Prior experience working in academic healthcare organizations

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Certified Project Director (CPD)

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

Certified Project Management Practitioner (CPMP)

Minimum: Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 7 years progressive work experience and 2 years management experience
