Job Description

The MUSC Real Estate Management Office oversees the real property portfolio for the MUSC Enterprise across the State of South Carolina including a lease portfolio of 400+ lease agreements. The Leasing Coordinator reports to Leasing Manager. Under limited supervision, the Leasing Coordinator supports a wide range of lease responsibilities and processes related to properties leased by and from the MUSC Enterprise. This role shall plan, coordinate and perform complex administrative, business management and support activities within the day-to-day operations of the MUSC Real Estate Management Office.

This position will coordinate, plan and perform complex administrative daily activities for the MUSC Real Estate Management Office across the State of South Carolina. Oversee the daily management of leasing activities for the MUSC Real Estate Portfolio. Implement, plan and coordinate special projects, create detailed reports, conduct property showings, file audits, onsite property space surveys, organize and maintain lease agreements and related documents. Interface with occupants, regularly in a professional manner. Provide high quality customer service, be proactive in developing lease tracking needs and reporting data, assist with special projects and any other tasks as requested.

Coordinate internal space moves in the Charleston Region for leased locations. Regularly coordinate and take independent action on matters directly effecting the MUSC Real Estate Office.

Additional Job Description

A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or five (5) years of related professional work experience. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, TEAMS, Access and PowerPoint) and Outlook required. Proficient in Adobe and Smart Sheet or other databases highly desirable. Proficient in learning complex new systems for lease document management within the AMT software platform highly desirable. Strong analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required; highly detail oriented; ability to independently take initiative. Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadline pressures and to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy; professional maturity; high degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality; ability to recall and manage large amounts of information; ability to establish and maintain effective and diplomatic working relationships with diverse groups, such as management, staff, clients, outside contractors, engineers, architects, and administrators on a variety of issues and tasks. Skill exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend commercial lease agreements, lease correspondence, lease-related calculations. Strong self-starter who takes ownership in all work and takes initiative to proactively coordinate and complete tasks.
