Job Description Summary

The Corporate Payroll Benefit Analyst II reports to the Corporate Payroll Manager. Under general supervision and within a large and rapidly growing Health System, this role is responsible for daily benefit audits, benefit enrollments, billing reconciliations, and annual open enrollment. This role is also responsible for researching and resolving care team member benefit questions, providing required documents for both internal audit and the external fiscal year end audit and adherence to all payroll and benefit regulations. The Corporate Payroll Benefit Analyst II ensures accountability, quality and efficiency of benefit enrollment process in Workday and billing reconciliation for accurate funding. This role provides support for vital areas of Workday, benefits deductions and retirement. This role provides support for benefit enrollment in Ourday and will serve as a Workday Payroll Partner.

Job Description

Requirements:

Job requires minimum of 4 years of working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration and knowledge of Workday, Word, Outlook and Excel. Must be detail oriented and have proven organizational skills. Also, requires ability to manage multiple priorities, stress, tight time requirements, produce results and can communicate effectively both written and verbally. Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited college or university and/or 4-year applicable experience required at a large and complex organization.

The ability to accurately make mathematical calculations; ability to solve problems in an on-line, real-time HCM system; and ability to enter information accurately and quickly. Must be able to apply policy and procedures to daily work operations, operate standard office equipment.

Job Duties:

  • Process employee benefits enrollment changes in Workday.
  • Run and validate benefit audit reports before, during and after payroll processing
  • Collaborate with vendors for accurate benefit processing.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices
  • Conduct benefit audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain benefit records and reports
  • Support open enrollment, plan changes, and new benefit implementations
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit carriers for active, retiree and COBRA benefit plans ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
  • Possesses a good working knowledge base of federal regulations and maintains compliance concerning benefits administration
  • Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations
  • Process employee benefits in Ourday, including enrollment, changes, and daily transactions
  • Research and resolve care team member benefit deduction inquires timely and accurately within the service now ticket system
  • Collaborate with other entities, within the health system, to ensure transfer of benefits
  • Provide required documentation for both external and internal audits as needed
  • Ensure adherence to all payroll and benefit regulations
