The Administrative Coordinator II reports directly to the Department Administrator and will be responsible for coordinating complex administrative, business management and/or support activities. He/she will be managing provider clinical and surgical schedules, the scribe program, Customer Service resolution and assist with project management related to new clinical locations.
MUSC Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A high school diploma and five years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or a bachelor's degree and three years experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.
Job Duties:
35% Working with the Department Administrator, Clinic Managers and Providers, develop the Master Provider Schedule and clinical templates. Complete and submit PATH and CCRs forms when changes need to be made. Take the lead role in the implementation of Qgenda for the Ophthalmology department. Review provider schedules to make sure that patients are correctly appointed.
20% Update and track provider schedules in the Hospital iQ database. Make sure OR time is being utilized or released in a timely manner. Make recommendations on maximizing OR usage to the Department Administrator and Department Chair.
15% Support the Department Administrator and Department Chair with project management related to clinical space. Coordinate meetings and acquisitions related to the construction of the 4th floor of the Storm Eye Institute and the opening of the Point Hope location. Make suggestions regarding current usage of clinical space.
10% Oversee the Department hired scribe(s) and make monthly assignments. Collaborate with the ChartJoy company regarding contracted scribes and create monthly schedules.
10% Assist the Department Administrator with customer service investigation and resolution. Work closely with the Patient and Family Liaison department.
10% All other duties as assigned by the Department Administrator/Department Chair.
