Job Description
Overview: The Zone Maintenance Supervisor supports the Facility Manager in overseeing and managing facilities activities for MUHA. The role involves supervising the MUHA Zone Maintenance Shop and ensuring both routine and non-routine tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with applicable standards and codes. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of healthcare facilities, building systems, and relevant operational policies, codes, and regulations. This position will be primarily assigned to the Ambulatory Surgical Centers in the Charleston area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities within the assigned facilities.
- Manage utility outages and coordinate repair and maintenance work for facilities under your supervision.
- Utilize building automation systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) effectively.
- Procure necessary goods and services to maintain the facilities.
- Ensure all facility systems are operated and maintained in compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, DHEC, NFPA, ASHRAE and other relevant AHJ’s.
- May be required to serve as Essential Personnel during revised operational scenarios.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare facilities and building systems.
- Proficiency in building automation systems and CMMS’s.
- Strong understanding of applicable healthcare operational policies, procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to manage utility outages and coordinate/communicate maintenance work efficiently.
- Experience in procuring goods and services for facility maintenance.
This position demands a proactive and knowledgeable individual dedicated to maintaining high standards of facility operations and compliance.
Additional Job Description
