Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Product Evaluation and Analysis:
Assess the clinical effectiveness, safety, and cost-efficiency of medical supplies, equipment, and technologies.
Conduct thorough reviews and comparative analyses of products to determine their suitability for patient care.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to stay informed about new products and advancements in healthcare technologies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze data related to product usage, costs, and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with clinical staff, physicians, administrators, and supply chain management to implement value analysis initiatives.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based strategies for product standardization and utilization.
Quality Improvement and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to product safety and healthcare delivery.
Support quality improvement efforts by identifying areas for enhancement in clinical practices and supply chain processes.
Additional Job Description
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the South Carolina.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
Clinical nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Previous experience in value analysis, supply chain management, or healthcare purchasing preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Knowledge of healthcare economics, reimbursement models, and healthcare regulations.
