Job Description

The Non-Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician I of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under direct supervision of the EEG Coordinator or designee, the EEG Technician I records by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate degree, bachelors degree or an active student in good standing in a CAAHEP-accredited EEG program.
• Must be board eligible for Registry in EEG according to ABRET guidelines within two years of employment.
• Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.
• Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
