Job Description

Assists an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients who may have developmental, physical and emotional impairments or who are recovering from injury. Prepares adaptive equipment used during treatment and supports patient activities. Documents therapeutic activities and details of patients progress.

Additional Job Description

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited school for occupational therapy assistants, licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy and registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
