Job Description Summary

Position is for a Recruitment Coordinator for the following programs: Pulmonary & Critical Care Clinical Research, COVID-19 Research, and Research in Advanced Therapies in Gastroenterology. Will be responsible for implementation of subject recruitment activities for the programs projects.

Job Description

Job Duties:

30% - Contacts potential subjects for clinical research opportunities. Reviews the informed consent, answers questions, and provides an overview of the trial. Connects the potential subject with the investigator if needed, or schedules the screening visit for the trial. For inpatient research, pre-screening potential subjects, working with care team and investigator to ensure eligibility, and consenting subject or legally authorized representative.

30% - Meets with investigators and coordinator teams to discuss recruitment goals and programs. Discusses chart pre-screening with investigators.

20% - Creates recruitment materials for the programs. Including, but not limited to: external advertisements, internal materials for outpatient clinics and inpatient units, and ensures website is up to date.

15% - Works with sponsor on any subject referral campaigns and connects with potential subjects. Communicates with providers outside of MUSC who is interested in connecting their patients to our research opportunities.

5% - Other duties as assigned by the program leadership.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant program experience.
