Job Description
The Payroll Director is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Cultivate an inclusive, high-performing team that maximizes team member contribution
Coach and develop the Payroll Analyst on continuous improvement methodologies and practices
Define success metrics for Payroll to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement
Maintain a strong working knowledge of market trends, industry-leading techniques that support innovation and improvement within Payroll
Oversee collaboration with internal resources and third-party vendors on integrations related to Payroll functioning
Work closely with Human Resources and other departments as needed to understand and support payroll requirements and needs in Workday
Work with other functional and technical resources to ensure that payroll standards and established processes are adhered to throughout the year
Recommend best practices and provide sound solutions to support payroll related business processes
Assists Payroll Analyst in communicating technical and payroll-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical teams
Liaise with senior leadership to provide strategic input and recommendations for growth, innovation, and overall improvement with the Payroll module
Present expert level knowledge of Payroll system and processing and work diligently to overcome foreseeable challenges, staying up to date on any system updates and changes
Demonstrate strong understanding of Payroll and data privacy standards
