Job Description
Job Responsibility: Administers cash collection.
Success Criteria: Analyzes, balances and ensures accounting system has necessary deposit information. Designs employee work flow to ensure accurate, timely completion of related tasks. Coordinates reconciliation process for EFT and credit card payments and integration to cash receipts system/general ledger. Maintains operating procedures; oversees sound internal control practices. Provides training as needed.
Job Responsibility: Monitors activities of user departments for cash collection sites.
Success Criteria: Ensures accuracy timeliness of deposit functions. Effectively manages the cash policies and procedures. Ensures Cashier’s Office policies and procedures are accurate. Timeliness to resolution of any actions necessary to effectively administer responsibilities.
Job Responsibility: Monthly and daily reconciliations for cash deposits including unapplied, pharmacy and credit cards for other hospital departments.
Success Criteria: G/l entries made timely. Reconciliations due to Fiscal Accounting within established deadlines of month end.
Job Responsibility: Miscellaneous functions related to cash and g/l.
Success Criteria: Provides assistance as needed to Hospital Patient Accounting for remittance creation and processing for State Set Off. Performs other duties as needed in the Cashiers office including scanning and record retention.
