JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide safe and effective fitness instruction to help our members attain their fitness goals 30%
  • Responsible for achieving personal monthly revenue objectives established by MUSC’s Personal Trainer Director 20%
  • Promote and sale personal training programs and services to a highly engaged member base 15%
  • Conduct fitness assessments 10%
  • Design exercise programs tailored to meet member needs and goals 10%
  • Maintain professional standards including punctuality, proper attire, teamwork, and a clean and safe workout environment 5%
  • Adjust and operate all fitness equipment 5%
  • Effectively use Social Media to keep members engaged and to promote MUSC Wellness Center 5%

Additional Job Description

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced Certified Personal Trainer. Must hold current fitness certification from an accredited organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an exercise science related field is preferred

  • Knowledge of evidence-based exercise methodology, functional exercise, nutrition, physiology, exercise technique, and anatomy/body mechanics

  • Ability to motivate others to improve their overall fitness and health

  • Excellent member service, communication, and customer service skills

  • CPR/AED certification
