Job Description Summary
The Collector/Customer Service Rep – reports to the HPA Collection Supervisor. Under general supervision, the Government Collector resolves unpaid Medicare accounts, submits adjusted claims as needed for overpayments and completes compliance projects within the specified time frame.Job Description
Prepares and processes payments for vendor invoices and other financial obligations in accordance with internal accounting policies. Reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger. Responds to vendor inquiries and resolves any discrepancies in billings and payments. May process requests for employee expense reimbursements.Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of clerical accounting experience required. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Previous experience in a hospital business office and knowledge of collection and billing procedures preferred. Overtime may be required.
