Job Description Summary
The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine is requesting approval to hire a nonoperative podiatry physician as a faculty member in our foot and ankle division. This hire will serve and support all missions in the department with clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities. The non-op podiatry physician will increase patient access to our foot and ankle and podiatry surgeon(s) while also increasing their surgical conversion rate per clinical appointment. Strategically, the non-op provider will anchor our presence in this high growth market (Charleston Division) and increase the funnel of surgical cases to our orthopaedic surgeons.The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina is recruiting a board certified/ board eligible Non-Operative Podiatry Physician. The incumbent will partner with our current orthopaedic and foot and ankle and podiatry physicians and clinical staff in serving patients in the Charleston tri-county area including local and regional professional sport teams.
The Department of Orthopaedics and Physical Medicine has 33 Faculty members serving the clinical, research, and education missions. The Department delivers the region’s most comprehensive range of musculoskeletal services, encompassing every orthopaedic subspecialty. We treat more than 35,000 patients each year with the most innovative technology and sophisticated procedures.
