Job Description

The Performance Manager is a vital member of the Office of the CEO. As a member of the Performance Services team, this individual supports the functions of performance alignment, reporting & analysis, measurement, management & accountability, and transformation. The leader serves as a strategic business partner to MUSC Health executive leaders, ICCE, business units, functional areas, and teams, further integrating functions across the Health System. Under limited supervision, the Performance Manager collaborates with Health System and Pillar leaders to create and implement standard performance improvement approaches in key areas of the health system. The Performance Manager is responsible for monitoring performance improvement intervention sustainability and outcomes. The Performance Manager prepares reports for executive leadership pertaining to the status of initiatives and key findings, and relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals.

The Performance Manager supports the integration and systemization of performance management practices and leverages performance services knowledge base to solve complex problems. This leader is responsible for partnering with executive leadership across the health system and its division in supporting enterprise-wide external consulting engagements, performance improvement initiatives, and major projects. The Performance Manager assists MUSC Health stakeholders to create innovative solutions that maximize one or more of the following health system strategic priorities: Family and patient satisfaction, clinical/quality outcomes, patient safety, service quality, physician satisfaction, employee satisfaction, or operational/financial efficiency and performance.

As a vital member of the Office of the CEO, the Performance Manager supports the integration and systemization of health system mergers and acquisitions; serving as a member of the Corporate Integration Management Office.
