Job Description Summary
Provide guidance to leadership and care team members regarding complex employee relations matters, beyond routine corrective actions. Applies organizational policies and applicable federal and state laws or regulations, on matters related to HIPAA, ADA, FMLA and other applicable regulations. Provides mediation and conflict resolution as needed. As needed, works collaboratively with appropriate external partners including but not limited to Quality, Compliance, Office of General Counsel (Legal), and Diversity Equity & Inclusion on specific matters and training.Entity

Job Summary/Purpose:
Provide guidance to leadership and care team members regarding HR policies and practices, serving as resource for escalated matters. Leads and facilitates employee grievance and appeals processes as applicable.
Conduct HR investigations as needed including sensitive matters requiring confidentiality and discretion. Create and maintain proper documentation of investigations maintaining confidentiality as necessary.
Maintains records related to employee relations matters in the appropriate matter management system. Collaborates with HR Operations to monitor matters for patterns and trends.
Works with HR Business Partners and coordinates response to inquiries related to terminations, disciplinary actions, appeals, grievances, claims or file subpoenas.
Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation resource for outsourced HR services such as exit interviews, FMLA administration, unemployment, and I-9s. Collaborate with vendors, leaders, care team members, and HR team to ensure optimal service delivery.

Additional Job Description
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree or JD and three (3) years of labor and employment or employee relations work experience; or a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and six years of experience in providing advice and consultation on employee relations matters. Demonstrated experience providing guidance to leadership and care team members on matters related to federal and state laws or regulations, organizational policies, HIPAA, and ADA. Expertise in mediation and conflict resolution desired. Requires great attention to detail, with a commitment to thorough, impartial, and expeditious reviews of situations.
