Job Description Summary

As the Clinical Operations Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of clinical operations, including planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care services across a multi-disciplinary care team on our virtual-first and at-home healthcare platform. You will work closely with our clinicians, product team, and executive leadership to ensure that our virtual healthcare services meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered efficiently and effectively.

The Clinical Operations Director will help further shape the strategy as well as design and implement the clinical and operational aspects of our pioneering model of virtual care. This leader will be a vital part of a team building a historic new way of serving patients and their health needs.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols that ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care services through our virtual-first healthcare platform.

2. Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals.

3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, our customers, insurers, and strategic partners, to support the company's growth and reputation in the industry, ensuring we meet the needs of our patients and corporate customers.

4. Collaborate with our product team to ensure that our platform is designed to support the delivery of high-quality patient care services and to identify areas for improvement.

5. Partner with the Clinical and Quality Improvement teams to monitor and evaluate the performance of our virtual healthcare services, including patient outcomes, utilization, and cost-effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement.

6. Partner with the Clinical and Quality Improvement team to tackle strategic projects to improve the patient experience, clinical quality, medical compliance, and patient safety.

7. Implement and oversee a robust quality assurance program, ensuring adherence to evidence-based guidelines, maintaining clinical excellence, and addressing areas for improvement.

8. Participate in the development and execution of the company's strategic plans, aligning clinical operations with organizational goals and objectives

9. Manage the budget for clinical operations and ensure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support the delivery of high-quality patient care services.

10. Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for service expansion and enhancement, making recommendations to the executive team.

11. Work closely with the marketing and business development teams to promote our services and expand our patient base.

12. Create and maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, fosters employee engagement, and supports staff retention.

13. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.

14. Displays sensitivity to and understanding of various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

Required

1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical operations management, with a track record of success in developing and implementing clinical policies, procedures, and protocols that ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care services.

3. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and manage resources effectively.

4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, healthcare organizations, and other stakeholders.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor and evaluate the performance of our virtual healthcare services and identify opportunities for improvement.

6. Previous experience in developing and operating virtual care programs, including an Remote Monitoring (RPM & RTM), Chronic Care Management, and Digital Therapeutics.

7. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines

8. Demonstrated experience with health care applications, including Epic electronic medical records.

9. Comfort working on a fully remote team

10. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

11. Be an exceptional team member: Low ego, hard-working, coaching-mindset, and partnership-oriented.

Preferred

1. Master’s degree in a business-related field.

2. Experience in a healthcare start-up.

3. Working knowledge of healthcare data and interrelated nature of coding nomenclatures (e.g. DRG’s, CPT’s, etc.).

4. Experience supporting major finance/strategic/business development decisions such as business acquisitions, divestitures, start-ups and/or re-organizations.

5. Clinical experience.

6. Have worked in digital health

7. Have worked in or directly partnered with hospital systems to build, implement, or partner on digital health innovation or virtual care projects.

8. Have experience in an early-stage, high-growth company or in a corporate/health care innovation group
