This position provides support to the Material/Logistics Supervisor. The Inventory & Supply Management Specialist will assist with the direction and coordination of all aspects of the management and daily operations of the automated warehouse for the entire MUSC, MUHA and MUSC-P enterprise. This will include responsibility for the oversight and direction of the receiving, storage distribution logistics and ancillary.
Job Responsibilities:
35%- Performs a variety of activities for the central warehousing and line item management (LIM) of critical repair parts and daily operational items in support of the MUSC Charleston Campus Facilities Engineering and the Planning, Design, and Construction Divisions. Technicians establish merchandise receipts in multiple databases to ensure accurate inventory and financial accounting is applied to project and corrective maintenance work orders within the computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and daily stock items are received within the enterprise resource processing (ERP) financial management system, Our Day. Staff must follow organizational processes to establish accurate documentation for proper item description, quantity, and stock location ensuring appropriate issue and stockage par levels for item management are maintained.
30%- Schedules and completes cycle count inventory verification for all crib and storeroom locations throughout MUSC, MUHA and MUSC-P Charleston area at least annually. Initiates investigation of identified property losses and other inventory discrepancies; report results and recommends appropriate actions to governing authorities to correct and/or prevent future inventory loss.
25%- Conducts troubleshooting processes on all Crib Master storage devices to ensure optimal functionality. Staff are assigned to specific locations to ensure that all cribs in the assigned area are operating properly; issues will be resolved by the assigned staff member or elevated to the appropriate management level to maintain appropriate operations of these devices. Provides training on the proper use, access, and cost charge processes to facility maintenance technicians to ensure accuracy and proper financial management of inventory.
10% - Provides exceptional customer service through notification to appropriate stakeholders in preparation for issue, locating, and configuring parts and tools. Communicate regularly with area and zone supervisors to ensure that the cribs are being utilized at the max capacity with inventory that each supervisor determines to be most needed and useful.
Additional Job Description
