Perform mammography exams and procedures.
Ensure that mammography order is obtained prior to performing all diagnostic mammograms and procedures.
Coordinate with ultrasound technologist for additional imaging needs of patient.
Perform quality control of mammography equipment as specified by equipment manufacturer, DHEC and MQSA.
Maintain patient record as specified by MUSCP mammography policy, DHEC and MQSA.
Coordinate with scheduling department, front desk and Mammography assistant regarding scheduling and accommodation of add on mammograms and procedures.
Maintain exam count and CME requirements set forth by ACR, ARRT and MQSA.
Follows all guidelines set forth by MQSA in the performance of mammography services.
Maintain MUSCP Standards of Professionalism.
Perform duties in any other area of MUSCP outreach in which individual is trained, credentialed or qualified.
Assist in ACR accreditation process.
Additional Job Description
Required Minimum Training and Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Registered in Radiography and Mammography.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current registration in Radiology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Current licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. Registered in Mammography. BLS certification.
