Job Description Summary

The physiatrist will assist with the urgent need of providing access to care to patients with disabilities
in our 900-bed quaternary care hospital. Inpatient opportunities are available at the joint venture
MUSC Encompass inpatient rehabilitation facility in North Charleston. The ideal candidate will
possess a strong sense of teamwork and a will help to build and expand our practice caring for
diverse patients. They will demonstrate a commitment to teaching, excellent communication skills,
and a strong interest in academics.

Minimum Training and Education:

Medical Doctorate degree or equivalent

1. Board eligible/board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

2. Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in South Carolina Degree of Supervision: Supervised by the Chair of Orthopaedics & Physical Medicine and Division Chief of PM&R.

Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous) Ability to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and annually.

Ability to maintain a valid drivers license. Computer literacy.
