Job Description Summary
: The OR/Procedural Scheduler, under general supervision of the Nurse Manager coordinates the activities related to patient surgery and procedural scheduling within the surgical specialties and procedural areas. Interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years related work experience; a bachelor's degree may be substituted for one year of the related work experience. Considerable knowledge and skill in the application of the techniques and practices of OR Scheduling preferred. Considerable knowledge of complex medical terminology and advanced disease processes preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and must be able to utilize computers and scheduling software. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Typing speed of 35 cwpm and computer experience required.
