WHO YOU ARE As our Stoneware Planner, you will play a leading role in the supply chain process for Le Creuset of America. You are a detail-oriented individual driven by problem solving, scenario planning, and possess strong critical thinking skills. You will be responsible for supply planning, forecast review, data integrity, procurement, and inventory management of all new and existing products. Your day-to-day management of these areas will support LCOA in achieving our growth objectives while maintaining optimal inventory levels. You will continually partner with several departments including factory counterparts, sales, operations, merchandising, marketing, and finance to act as a major contributor to our customer satisfaction and financial management goals.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Manage the supply planning, forecast review, data integrity, procurement, and inventory of all new and existing products. Category of responsibility deals with complex production schedules and high volume of skus.
- Create and propose category reorders to multiple factories ensuring supply is covering demand and forecasted needs, while also working to adhere to KPI inventory goals.
- Restructure production orders as requested from the factory based on MOQ or other logistic constraints such as unit allotment and color production calendar.
- Manage production schedules to minimize delays from factory and communicate accurate timelines to Marketing, Sales, and Retail Merchandising.
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to analyze and provide feedback around monthly and seasonal demand forecasts. Additionally, strategically manage inventory production to ensure availability for key programming.
- Responsible for monitoring all inbound inventory for your respective categories. The planners are responsible for all information around ETAs and pushing to ensure product arrives on time.
- Review forecasts vs. actual sales for forecast accuracy. Consider changes as well as effects of current trend to understand impact on the supply chain and how to rectify any problems.
- Continually work to avoid out of stock situations that result in a loss of sales, strategizing and implementing solutions to address unsupported forecasts.
- Create, review, and utilize monthly reporting to propose actionable ways to improve business and the overall supply chain.
- Develop, generate, and distribute monthly inventory analysis reports, including out of stocks. Be able to speak to the analysis conveying a deep understanding of the information being reported.
Act cross-functionally between teams to help facilitate communication about the planning supply chain process.
- Work in tandem with Category Managers, Sales team, and Account Services to provide updates on new product launches, back in-stock timeframes and overall supply chain process updates. Work as a partner with these teams to call out any potential risk factors and strategize ways to mitigate risk.
- Participate in monthly/weekly sales and customer service calls to review open issues, key items, forecasts, product launches, and end of life strategies.
- Be the expert in the transition of our Stoneware skus between multiple factories. Understanding the global sourcing strategy and working seamlessly to transition inventory locally.
- Communicate daily with factory counterparts to build and maintain relationships to convey LCOA needs and priorities.
- Collaborate with fellow members of the planning team and DTC Inventory Planner to ensure accuracy of inventory allocation to 3rd party warehouse used for specific customer shipments.
- Communicate daily with warehouse operations and import/export admin on key shipment deliveries to ensure product launch timings are being met. This includes shipments to our local warehouses as well as direct imports for customers.
- Act as a participant in the monthly S&OP process to drive alignment between demand plan and financial forecast.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of proven experience in retail planning or related consumer goods category.
- Strong analytical skills, with high motivation to dig into the details. Critical thinking skills are a must.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft office (advanced Excel skills required).
- Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment with high attention to detail.
- Self-starter attitude with desire to improve processes.
- Extensive cross-functional and collaborative expertise with a focus on influencing and alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-channel environment.
- Ability to sit and work at computer for prolonged periods of time.
- College degree preferred.
EXTRA EXTRAS
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or other planning software.
- Power BI experience.
