How you create impact
Ensure compliance with BP Tangguh UCC lifting protocols and procedures.
Prepare vessel stowage, lifting plans, and lashing/securing calculations; liaise with MWS, consultants, and shipping companies.
Support site operations and ensure strict adherence to lifting procedures.
Coordinate with subcontractors to execute approved transport plans.
Develop method statement templates for various transport modes (ro-ro, lift-on/lift-off, multipurpose/heavy lift ships).
Participate in vessel audits with project surveyors and verification teams.
Attend client and subcontractor meetings on critical shipments.
Maintain organized documentation and communication systems.
Communicate proactively with internal teams and client stakeholders on site and at Jakarta Operating Centre.
Anticipate and resolve conflicts with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure clear handovers between loading and receiving sites with documented SOPs.
Work closely with HSE and Operations teams to ensure compliance.
Provide regular operational updates and develop standard weekly/monthly reports with the Senior Project Manager.
Demonstrate expertise in project transport engineering and share knowledge with colleagues.
Build long-term partnerships with vessel and equipment owners.
Maintain clear communication with teams and management through structured channels.
Lead by example in safety, addressing unsafe acts/conditions, and ensuring full compliance with global safety standards.
What we would like you to bring
Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in breakbulk/heavy lift marine transportation within EPC or O&G projects.
Background in project operations and construction logistics preferred.
Strong knowledge of international standards, safety practices, and cargo operations.
Expertise in vessel stability, mooring, structural strength, and vessel capabilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel (technical calculations) and AutoCAD (or similar tools).
Solid knowledge of loading methods (ro-ro, lifting) and transport engineering.
Strong understanding of loading/unloading operations.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work across geographies.
Adaptability and openness to change.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with good judgment.
Solid work ethic, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
