The purpose of this position is to develop, maintain and implement technical standards for KN to mitigate risk exposure and improve operational excellence. Increase win ratio of project bids by developing technical sound solutions, mitigate risk during operations, and elevate the existing KN technical and operational standard. The position acts as the national subject matter expert and primary contact for all technical inquiries, bridging local needs with global Technical Solutions Team strategies. The role ensures saving technical operations, documentation, and knowledge transfer for internal and external stakeholders, supporting operational excellence. The position contributes to saving and economic efficient logistics by championing HSE, applying latest industry standards, system enhancements, and scalable technical solutions aligned with sustainability and growth objectives.
How you create impact
- This role requires regular collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across national and global project logistics teams, such as, but not limited to, T ender,Chartering, Business Development and operational units, often necessitating on-site presence for operational surveys.
- The position demands a high level of technical proficiency within lifting, securing and transportation of Project Cargo as well as high HSE awareness and knowledge.
- The role interacts extensively with national and global project logistics teams, business unit leaders from Chartering, Tender Management or Technology teams well as with sales teams, customers, suppliers, and service center personnel to ensure effective communication and support.
- This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex logistics projects effectively, ensuring safety and efficiency at every step
- Perform cargo securing calculations to ensure safe transport for all possible modes of transport (road, rail, sea, air)
- Create detailed stowage, securing and lifting plans
- Develop technical drawings, including 2D and 3D CAD designs
- Execute bedding and stability calculations to support transportation and installation processes
- Prepare and review method statements for project logistics
- Conduct route and site surveys, as well as feasibility studies
- Select appropriate equipment based on vendor drawings and site conditions
- Supervise operations and conduct pre-shipment inspections
- Develop comprehensive journey management plans to optimize transport routes and schedules
What we would like you to bring
Extensive experience in project logistics and heavy transport operations (oversized, out‑of‑gauge, or specialized cargo)
Proven ability to manage national‑level projects with complex transport requirements
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, permits, and compliance standards (road, port, customs)
Experience in route planning, risk assessment, and feasibility studies for heavy transport
Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (drivers, riggers, planners, subcontractors)
Strong stakeholder management skills — liaising with clients, authorities, and service providers
Track record in budget management, cost control, and vendor negotiation
Familiarity with specialized equipment (multi‑axle trailers, cranes, lifting gear)
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to respond to operational challenges quickly
Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in developing and coaching teams
Proficiency in project management tools and logistics software
Willingness to travel and oversee operations on‑site when required
