Purpose:
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing, promoting, and maintaining the Knight’s Companies brand across all divisions. This role manages integrated strategies involving media relations, marketing campaigns, event planning, and digital communications to increase public awareness, drive engagement, and uphold a positive image of the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with Senior Management to develop and execute public branding and communication strategies.
- Manage the company’s social media platforms, websites, and digital content to ensure consistent, brand-aligned messaging.
- Coordinate company-sponsored events, community outreach initiatives, and trade show participation.
- Oversee advertising, sponsorships, and professional memberships, ensuring a strong return on investment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on marketing projects, campaigns, and creative assets.
- Monitor and respond to public comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate photo shoots with professional photographers as directed by Senior Management.
- Develop and distribute internal and external publications tailored to each division.
- Maintain and update a database of current memberships, affiliations, logins, and related credentials.
- Represent the Company at marketing, sales-related and community events.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to research and procure promotional items.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in marketing, communications or brand management.
- Experience working in manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
- Strong writing, editing and content creation skills across multiple media platforms.
- Proficiency with social media management tools, digital marketing platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Creative mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and represent the company professionally.
- Ability to travel to current and future markets as needed.
- Driver's license in state of residence require.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, type, carrying, pushing, and bending.
- Ability to work primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
