As the Commercial Energy Solutions Manager at KION North America, you will spearhead energy solutions across the commercial landscape, positioning KION as an innovative player in sustainable energy solutions. You will drive market growth by championing KION’s lithium-ion offerings, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory standards, and industry advancements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Develop and execute a commercial energy strategy focused on expanding KION’s market presence in lithium-ion and other energy-efficient technologies.
  • Product Expertise & Customer Engagement: Act as the primary lithium-ion expert for the commercial team, providing in-depth technical knowledge to customers, integrators, and internal teams, ensuring KION's solutions meet evolving customer demands.
  • Market Insights & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify key trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies that align with KION’s growth objectives.
  • Collaboration with R&D and Product Development: Work closely with engineering and product development teams to drive enhancements in lithium-ion and other energy-efficient products, aligning KION’s offerings with market needs and sustainable practices.
  • Sales Enablement & Training: Develop training materials and programs that empower the sales team and integrators to effectively communicate the benefits of KION’s energy solutions, with a special emphasis on lithium-ion technology.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations related to lithium-ion and alternative energy systems. Promote sustainability initiatives in alignment with KION’s corporate social responsibility goals.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish KPIs for the commercial energy strategy, track performance, and report on revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction related to energy products.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in energy management, commercial strategy, or a related field within the material handling or OEM sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion technology and its applications in material handling equipment.
  • Proven track record of working with commercial teams to drive growth in energy solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in competitive analysis within the material handling or adjacent industries.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time to Customer Accounts and to the KNA office in Summerville, SC

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Sales qualifications desirable
