Are you interested in taking an organization to the next level? We're expanding and looking for a Marketing Director that will set KION North America apart and enhance our North America brand. In this role you will partner with the sales teams to aid in their success, be integral in developing and launching marketing materials (emphasis on digital), focused core messaging, vertical markets, sales tools/trainings, amongst others. Ideally you are a transformative leader who takes a hands-on approach to implementation. Bonus if you have experience in the industrial trucks industry.

This role is located in Summerville, South Carolina and reports to the CCO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive industry-targeted market plans and programs, both short and long range, to support the sales and revenue objectives of KION NA. Achieve annual business objectives goals of revenue, profit, and share growth
  • Develop and manage marketing operating budget, prepare marketing activity reports and present to executive management
  • Develop marketing strategy in collaboration with senior leaders of Product Management, Sales Operations, and Intralogistic Solutions
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Monitor competitive products and marketing activities
  • Establish and maintain a consistent and compliant corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
  • Determine agencies and suppliers of record, negotiate contract terms and conditions for major services. Serve as liaison for ongoing promotional campaigns
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, key community, and strategic partners
  • Oversee participation in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events
  • Oversee corporate communications to internal, dealer network, and public audiences

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years' experience in Corporate Marketing, ideally from a Business-to-Business entity. Dealer network experience and capital equipment experience is a plus
  • Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Keen understanding of web strategy, SEO, lead generation, analytics, and reporting
  • Public Relations experience and Media training
  • Strong presentation skills and proven internal and external written communications
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
  • Leadership experience – ability to effectively motivate, mentor, coach, and counsel

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • Advanced degree preferred
