Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and reviews planned and released purchase requisitions for accuracy prior to placing both replenishment and emergency orders based on SAP system and customer requirements
- Identifies cost savings opportunities by sourcing new suppliers/components or re-sourcing existing components and tracks savings annually against departmental Key Performance Indicators
- Updates and monitors SAP system with accurate and timely purchasing and delivery information to provide precise data to the KION customer base
- Works to expedite past due or open orders in a cost-effective manner to better serve the KION customer base
- Communicates delivery information to the Customer Service team and responsible material planners
- Supports freight forwarder(s) for all import shipments, to insure proper material classification and customs compliance
- Work with suppliers to resolve receiving discrepancies and coordinates freight claims recovery
- Identifies cost savings opportunities related to volume adjustments / volume pricing and vendor delivery information
- Seeks to provide a positive customer service experience with both internal and external customers and suppliers
- Takes the lead on departmental lead on the procurement of indirect and other materials outside of the spare parts scope as needed
Tasks and Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience with supply chain and customer service concepts in an aftermarket distribution center environment
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems; SAP preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
- Validated skills in managing multiple concurrent issues, prioritizing workloads, critical thinking, and problem solving
Education / Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related area preferred
