How you will impact Ingevity:
Assist with the preparation of all US federal, state and local corporate and partnership tax returns
Assist with preparation the global corporate quarterly and annual tax provision, financial statement disclosures and related journal entries under ASC 740.
Assist with setting and monitoring Ingevity transfer prices including gathering data to comply with transfer pricing agreements and BEPS
Perform tax research and prepare memos on a variety of federal, state and international issues related to corporations and partnerships.
Assist with the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize federal and state tax expense.
Assist with the preparation of annual US federal, state and local extensions and quarterly estimates on a timely basis.
Prepare responses to various federal and state tax notices.
Keep current on new tax legislation and tax accounting pronouncements to determine impact on Ingevity.
Perform the SOX compliance procedures and co-ordinate with Internal audit the tax SOX certification.
Assist with data preparation, analysis, and periodic return compliance for indirect taxes.
What you need to succeed:
3-5 years working experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax department.
BA in Accounting or Finance.
Master of Taxation or other advance accounting/tax degree a plus.
CPA certification desirable.
Experience in federal and multi-state income tax compliance.
Self-starter with strong accounting, analytical, creative problem-solving and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organization.
Must be well-organized, hands on and detail oriented.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), tax preparation systems (Corptax preferred), and tax research sites (e.g. Bloomberg Tax, CCH) desirable.
