| Maintenance Machine Repair Job Summary: General responsibility for the maintenance and repair of complex production machinery and equipment. Includes diagnosis, troubleshooting, breakdown, preventative and predictive measures. Essential Functions: - Troubleshoot and correct problems with production machinery
- Maintains and repair production machinery which includes machine from Kuka, Hofmann, Ina, Gefit, Alpha, Eagle and Schenck
- Completes repairs on mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems/components
- Complete miscellaneous assignments as required
- Work in coordination with representatives from various machine builders and colleagues from Germany
- Interprets and understand machine drawing and schematics
- Assists in development of PM plans
- Assists in management of spare parts inventories
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks as required
- Follow strict safety procedures including ‘lockout”
- Uses various measurement equipment in connection with job duties
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Ability to use precision test equipment to troubleshoot malfunctions.

Education: - Certified as a licensed or journeyman machine repairman
Experience: - Ability to read blueprints
- Familiar with local machinery codes and standards
- Basic math skills including addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division
- Basic knowledge of spatial geometry and trigonometry
- Forklift and Man lift
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – MP2 or SAP experience a plus.
- PLC experience a plus
Specific Skills: - Good communication skills (oral & written)
- Self-motivated individual, time awareness on repairs, ability to work with and without direction.
- Machine Shop experience a plus
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to walk/move about a 500,000 sq ft manufacturing facility: 100% of the time
- Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 75% of the time
- Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 80% of the time
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a frequent basis: 70% of the time
- Must be able to lift over 40lbs on an infrequent basis: 30% of the time
- Must be able to sit at a work station: 30% of the time
- Must be able to work and operate a computer terminal: 30% of the time
- Must be able to work at heights up to 25 feet above ground level
- Must be able to work in confined spaces Must be able to operate aerial lift.
- Vision is required to analyze and process work; and to work on computer terminal/machine centers, etc.
- Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, suppliers and customers via conversation, group meetings, and/or phone conferences
- Must be able to wear a paint suit and/or respirator
- Must be able to work with paints/solvents/cleaners
- Must be able to work any shift as required including overtime as needed
