| Job Summary: Assist maintenance supervisor in planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities for the facility. Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management Software (MP2). Work with engineering, production, and maintenance personnel in organizingand maintaining indirect material including spare parts and tooling. - Resolve maintenance problems by establishing rapport with management, engineering, quality, technicians, production personnel, machine builders and other person in a position to understand maintenance requirements
- Support product development and improvement by reviewing new production plans, discussing equipment needs, and modifications with appropriate personnel as indicated
- Design, implement, and modify preventative/predictive maintenance programs by reviewing data from the following areas: production, quality, maintenance and other related statistical data as well as inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for conformance with operational standards.
- Perform equipment failure analysis
- Contribute to the team effort by working in a collaborative manner to perform special projects and assignment that support the company’s overall goals and business objectives
- Interface with customers, engineers, machine builders, and management to support and/or suggest changes in processes and/or use of equipment to increase efficiency and quality of facility, equipment processes, or worker performance standards
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks etc.
- Work with machine builders, engineers, maintenance technicians and suppliers to ensure that necessary spare parts and production tooling are procured and stocked to support maintenance and production needs
- Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management Software (MP2) with the goal of optimizing uptime.
- Establish new PMs according to our standards using recommended guidelines form the machine builder.
- Adjust PM documents and frequencies based on failure analysis and runtime
- Help define and verify acceptance criteria on new machines /equipment
- Ensure new machine documentation is received and available to the maintenance department
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the existing TPM program. Create new TPM documents as necessary.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filling cabinets and fax machines. This job will also be exposed to manufacturing environment, such as production lines, power industrial trucks, and/or other manufacturing machines. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM However, at times, due to business necessity a certain flexibility to include weekend work and after hours work is expected. Travel While this role typically does not require travel. Travel between sites and to any special training events may be necessary. Required Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or at least ten (10) years of equivalent experience
- Must be familiar with computer applications and/or controlled systems
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite programs
- Must be familiar with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Must be familiar with plant operations and equipment
- Knowledge of job-related product information
- Knowledge of total productive maintenance principles (TPM)
- Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Must be familiar with OSHA, NIOSH, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software applications
- Must be familiar with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
- Must be familiar with Statistical Process Control
- Must be proficient with PLC and PC based control systems
- Must have working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission systems.
- Must be proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Preferred Education and Experience - SAP R/3 enterprise system preferred
- Ability to travel including internationally
- Familiar with Tier I and/or Tier II automotive supplier specifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak German preferred
