Hood Packaging Corporation is a privately held company, highly respected in the multiwall paper bag and plastic packaging industries. Our Summerville, SC location is seeking talented and dedicated team members to help us continue our legacy.

CONVERSION OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

  • Safety of personnel and equipment, housekeeping, quality, productivity, waste amounts, required production reports, quality monitors, other documents or reports as required accurately and timely.
  • Helps direct the work and training needs of the crew members in a safe manner.
  • Assists in the pre-setup and materials necessary to start an order.
  • Works with KON lead to assure oncoming shift has been communicated to and advised of all pertinent information regarding the machine, orders and status of equipment and personnel.
  • Can relieve crew for breaks as directed by lead.
  • Must know, follow, and demonstrate compliance with all safety rules and understand working safely is a condition of employment.
  • Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’s, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED at time of application

Physical Demands:

  • Bending, stooping, standing, walking on hard surfaces.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work all shifts including 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to work in hot environments.
  • Ability to use hands and arms to operate equipment.
