SHIFT SUPERVISOR

This management position oversees and supervises plant operations and personnel, covering all departments in the plant. This position's major function is to make sure all operations continue to run, with emphasis on the safe operation of the plant and personnel, quality, and productivity of all departments and to ensure that orders are run to customer specifications and scrap is kept minimal. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’s, Work Instructions, and Safe Quality Food System requirements (SQF) are in compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising employees-training, quality, safety, production, orders and issues
• Communication with other Supervisors
• Work and communications with Maintenance regarding equipment and repairs

Required Skills:

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication, written and verbal
• Knowledge of computers and manufacturing systems
• Sound decision making and judgment ability
• Ability to work successfully with little direct supervision
• Ability to analyze and trouble shoot machine problems
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Graduate or GED at time of application
• 5 - 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous supervisory background
