JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES

The Senior Associate Engineer (OSP) is responsible for analyzing and oversight of construction and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, including copper, coax, and fiber optic cables. Develop detailed engineering plans for telecommunications systems, leveraging internal and contract resources.

Quality control (QC) of all outside plant facilities throughout all stages of implementation. Utilizes knowledge of copper, fiber, and coaxial communications systems outside plant network design, and uses computer-aided design (CAD), ESRI, GIS mapping, and data collection to oversee.

Additionally, document all aspects of projects, including construction, mapping coordination, budgets, material allocation, and work order close-out.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the construction and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure, including copper, coax, and fiber optic cables
  • Utilizes knowledge of copper, fiber, and coaxial communications systems outside plant network design, and uses computer-aided design (CAD), ESRI, GIS mapping, and data collection to prepare detailed design drawings.
  • Project oversight leveraging internal and contractor resources. Project documentation
