Your Role at Baxter
This position supports our manufacturing plant in Charleston, SC and provides HR Generalist support as a trusted partner to our employees and managers, using their HR experience and coaching skills to assess, diagnose and deliver employee relations, engagement and communication programs and solutions. The position will focus on both transactional and tactical HR support.
The Senior HR Representative role will serve as the sole on-site HR representative for 150 employees at our manufacturing facility in Charleston, SC. This role will be responsible supporting leadership, and driving business growth, while also analyzing data and making recommendations to improve the Best Place to Work culture. The role will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This role is onsite Monday-Friday at our Charleston, SC Office.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with plant leaders and employees on key HR initiatives.
- Implement and deliver HR plans and programs to a diverse team of employees.
- Collaborate with operations teams by joining interviews, attending meetings, and observing plant activities.
- Proactively communicate with employees and managers regarding HR policies, practices and procedures.
- Coordinate New Hire Orientation and deliver HR onboarding portion.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations concerns. Review, approve and partner with managers on associated corrective actions.
- Participate in local talent planning which includes mentoring, support and implementation of training and individual development plans (IDPs); talent management support including ERP system Talent Profiles.
- Provide HR support to a team of cross functional HR Business Partners.
- Data management responsibilities include job requisition process, on-the-job reimbursement process, unemployment claims.
- Participate in local career fairs to source talent and represent Baxter as an employee of choice. Serve as liaison with local contingent staffing agencies.
What you'll bring
- High School degree or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years significant HR generalist professional experience including employee relations, talent planning and employee engagement; manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Prior experience managing internal communication processes; planning meetings, training and events a plus.
- Consistent action and execution, ability to drive operational excellence, promote partnership, improve organizational culture, communicate effectively, build positive relationships.
- Strong technology application and analytical skills.
- Self-directed and results oriented
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
