Key Role Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the financial analysis of potential investment opportunities.
- Market research and analysis on the Dutch (residential) real estate market.
- Drafting presentations for LPs and Greystar Investment Committee members.
- Assisting in DD processes and coordination of external advisors.
- Assisting the Investment team on other transactional elements where necessary.
Role Scope
- This role will report to the Managing Director, Investments.
- The Analyst will have the opportunity to gain exposure across Greystar’s investment, development, and asset management businesses.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Educated to MSc (WO) / University Degree (2:1 and above) or equivalent in or a related business or analytical subject such as finance, business management, real estate, accounting, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
- IT literate and fully conversant with all Microsoft packages including PowerPoint (Advanced level) and Excel (Advanced level).
Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Prior experience within investment banking, private equity, or other finance fields in related geographical territories.
- Strong quantitative background with experience of financial modelling, valuations and financial analysis.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and attention to detail with a demonstrable ability to research, analyse and present complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively write and present reports and information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships and influence at all levels.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development.
- Naturally inquisitive with a desire to understand the bigger picture and get involved with wider team and business objectives.
- A positive team player, with an adaptable and flexible approach along with ability to work collaboratively to drive results and support the wider team and business objectives.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to work independently when required.
- Must have excellent written and spoken English and preferably Dutch language skills.
- A passion for real estate and a keen interest in private equity.
Desirable:
- Demonstrable work experience working in the real estate sector.
- Demonstrable work experience in an analytical role within investment banking, private equity or other related finance, within Europe or internationally.
- Experience working in residential sector or on residential projects.
- Fluency in additional European Languages.
