Our Professional Services team’s primary focus is to drive revenue on social platforms for our nonprofit partners and create a world-class experience for our end users to reinforce the amazing brands our nonprofit partners have already built.

What does a Social Media Fundraising Intern do at GoodUnited?:

  • Content Creation & Reporting
    • Define key brand messages and insights by establishing and articulating the customer’s internal and external key messages.
    • Ensure that content is aligned with the mission and tone of voice of our nonprofit partners.
    • Use consumer analytics to determine the best way to create an inclusive community, engage supporters, protect brand integrity, increase brand awareness, and optimize fundraising and subscriber growth.
    • Daily community engagement and data tracking to boost fundraising metrics and identify impact on conversion.
  • Innovation & Testing
    • Develop innovative strategies and craft creative content to deepen the GoodUnited customer lifecycle through social media platforms between the nonprofit and the supporter.
    • Test new content to drive new engagement in Facebook Challenges to further leverage fundraising metrics and overall user experience.
  • Staff Management
    • Manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) and a global remote staff to effectively execute Challenges on Facebook.
    • Coordinate with other staff managers to find areas of inefficiency and process improvements.

What experience and skills does a Social Media Fundraising Intern need to be successful here?:

  • In-person (Charleston office), 20-40 hours/week, 2 months minimum
  • Marketing/Communications background is a plus
  • Experience working with social media and nonprofit fundraising tools and/or platforms
  • Strong verbal and exceptional written communication skills, who can relate to and build constructive relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and initiate action independently and take charge before others do
