The opportunity
The IT Procurement Analyst supports the Global IT Procurement team in managing the sourcing, contracting, and procurement of IT hardware, software, and services. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient procurement operations while driving strategic sourcing initiatives, vendor optimization, and cost reduction across the organization. The position reports to the Director, IT Administration.
The Role
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Manage IT procurement requests submitted through the Service Catalog
- Lead RFQs and RFPs from initiation to vendor selection
- Identify and evaluate suppliers
Vendor Management & Negotiation:
- Interface with vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing
- Build and maintain vendor relationships
Contracting & Risk Management:
- Collaborate with Legal to review and finalize contracts
- Partner with Information Security to assess vendor risk
- Support the Third-Party Risk Management program
Financial & Performance Optimization:
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support cost control initiatives
Governance & Data Management:
- Maintain and update IT contract inventory
- Ensure compliance with internal processes
Project & Stakeholder Support:
- Provide procurement support for IT projects
- Act as key contact for procurement inquiries
The requirements
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field
- 3–5 years of procurement experience
Technical Skills:
- Experience managing RFQs/RFPs
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle
- ERP systems knowledge (JD Edwards is an asset)
Core Competencies:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Analytical mindset
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
Working Conditions
Occasional flexibility may be required to support global stakeholders across time zones.
