Warehouse Supervisor

Freeman Boatworks is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor who enjoys leading a team while staying actively involved in daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory organization, and the overall flow of materials that support our manufacturing operations.
You will work closely with production, purchasing, and inventory teams to maintain inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure materials are available to keep production running efficiently.
What You'll Do
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving of materials, parts, and consumables from customers and vendors
- Ensure incoming shipments are properly received, inspected, and documented
- Verify materials against receiving documentation and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate teams
Inventory Management
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized within the warehouse
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and inventory logs
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and reconciliation processes
Shipping & Order Fulfillment
- Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping of parts, warranty items, and other materials
- Enter shipment information and documentation into the ERP system
- Work with shipping carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and LTL providers to ensure timely shipments
Team Leadership
- Supervise warehouse employees and coordinate daily tasks and priorities
- Provide direction and support to ensure efficient warehouse operations
- Review and approve employee timecards and monitor attendance
Warehouse Organization
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency
- Assist with improving warehouse workflow and material organization
- Support reporting needs for various departments within the organization
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving operations preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail when working with inventory, part numbers, and documentation
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with shipping platforms such as FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and email
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain an efficient warehouse environment
- Ability to lead and support a team while maintaining a hands-on presence in daily operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment that may experience seasonal temperature fluctuations. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout the warehouse during the workday, as well as the ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
