Receiving Clerk
Freeman Boatworks
The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in supporting Freeman Boatworks’ manufacturing and service operations by accurately receiving, processing, and tracking inbound materials, motors, trailers, and service-related shipments. This position ensures inventory accuracy within NetSuite, supports Service & Warranty fulfillment, and serves as a key point of coordination between Purchasing, Production, and Logistics.
What You’ll Do:
Receiving & Inventory Control
- Receive all inbound shipments and accurately process receiving documentation in NetSuite
- Scan and maintain electronic records of all receiving paperwork and receipts
- Audit motor receipts for accuracy and completeness
- Check in trailers upon arrival and verify all related documentation
- Create and print product location labels to ensure proper inventory placement
- Create new parts in the Supply Chain system as needed
Shipping, Service & Warranty Support
- Pick, scan, pack, and ship Service & Warranty sales orders
- Coordinate outbound shipments for service-related parts and warranty claims
- Request and schedule pickup of motor crates
- Assist with answering gate calls and picking parts as needed to support Production and Service teams
Reporting & Tracking
- Track and report monthly shipping expenses (UPS & LTL), including documentation and distribution
- Update the Purchasing Milestones Tracker with receipts for motors, trailers, and cushions
- Communicate receipt status clearly and timely with Purchasing and Operations
General Support
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe receiving area
- Support inventory accuracy through attention to detail and proper documentation
- Assist with other materials, shipping, or inventory-related duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in receiving, shipping, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (data entry, inventory tracking, and basic reporting)
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
- Familiarity with shipping carriers (UPS, LTL freight) and basic freight documentation
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer skills, including scanning and document management
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained (preferred)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance
- Work performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Use of required PPE (closed-toe shoes, safety equipment, etc.)
