Freeman Boatworks builds some of the most respected offshore fishing boats in the world, and we’re looking for a skilled Material Handler to help keep our production operations running smoothly. If you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in safe, precise forklift operation, we’d love to talk.
What You’ll Do
• Safely operate a forklift to move materials, pallets, and components throughout the facility
• Navigate tight aisles and high-traffic areas with accuracy and care
• Load, unload, and stage materials for production teams
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Support production by ensuring materials are delivered where and when they’re needed
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
• Forklift experience required — including the ability to maneuver safely in tight or confined spaces
• Strong situational awareness and a commitment to safety
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the workday
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with production staff
• Prior material handling or warehouse experience preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Ability to routinely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials and equipment
• Work performed in a non–climate-controlled manufacturing environment (heat, cold, humidity, noise, and airborne particles)
• Ability to safely operate around moving machinery, forklifts, and active production areas
