Job Summary
The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the boat assembly process. This role ensures that all systems meet Freeman’s exacting standards for performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and test mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components in accordance with specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with systems including wiring, pumps, plumbing lines, and related equipment.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Perform inspections to verify that installations meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Document work performed and report issues or delays to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in marine, automotive, aviation, or related MEP systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
